  • Energy Saving Trust – a grant of up to £400 is available toward the cost of a home chargepoint via the Domestic Chargepoint scheme.
  • Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) – a grant of £350 is available via the EV chargepoint grant, supported by the Scottish Government’s OZEV.

Homeowners are eligible to apply for funding (up to £400) if they are either:

A used electric vehicle owner – you live in Scotland and bought your electric vehicle through the used electric vehicle loan scheme.

Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) Grant

The EV chargepoint grant provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle smart chargepoints at domestic properties across the UK. It replaced the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) on 1 April 2022.

This grant offers homeowners money off the cost of installing an electric vehicle chargepoint socket. Owners can receive either £350 or 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, whichever amount is lower.

Each financial year, you can get up to:

  • 200 grants for residential properties
  • 100 grants for commercial properties
  • These can be across several properties and installations or for one property.
