Vaillant flexoTHERM

The Vaillant flexoTHERM is a multi-source heat pump that for ground-source solutions, can be connected to either a ground collector or borehole system to provide efficient generation of heating and hot water.

VAILIANT FLEXOTHERM

The flexoTHERM plus is available in 230V and 400V configuration with a range of outputs. flexoTHERM incorporates state-of-the-art Electronic Vapour Injection (EVI) compressor technology to deliver the highest levels of efficiency and heating performance.

In addition, the product has also been awarded a ‘Quiet Mark’ by the Noise Abatement Society thanks to it being exceptionally quiet during operation as well as being MCS accredited, which can help end users benefit from the RHI scheme.

Easy Heat Systems are a registered Vaillant Advance Partner, and as such, our customers benefit for a seven year guarantee from Vaillant on their flexoTHERM Heat Pump, in addition to a twelve month warranty on parts and labour from Easy Heat Systems.

Benefits of the flexoTHERM

Integrated Heat Pump Interface

As a registered Vaillant Advance Partner, Easy Heat Systems are able to design bespoke applications for our customers to suit their unique requirements using the flexoTHERM with heat pump interface. The heat pump interface acts as the central point of the system connecting to a back-up heater, expansion vessel, heat exchanger module and heat pump hot water cylinder if hot water is required.

Our expert management and on-site delivery teams will design a bespoke solution and layout for your heat system to best optimise the heating requirements for your property. Easy Heat Systems offer a turnkey solution that takes customers seamlessly from survey and design through funding applications and installation.

Smart Control Options

As part of the installation of your Ground Source Heat Pump system, you will need a system control to program your heating and hot water system.

Easy Heat Systems offer a choice of Vaillant controls with either the sensoCOMFORT or VRC 700, which both come in wired or wireless options to suit a variety of requirements for our customers.

These devices are smartphone compatible, allowing for smart control of your heat and hot water system remotely through use of a smartphone app.

CyclinDer Options

Easy Heat Systems offer an extensive range of hot water cylinders including the advanced Vaillant uniTOWER units and Vaillant uniSTOR hot water cylinders for customers that require hot water in their property.

Vaillant uniSTOR hot water systems are available in a range of sizes for heat pumps and hybrid systems.

Key Terminology & FAQS

The flexoTHERM provides heating and hot water from renewable energy. It’s perfect for both new build and retrofit properties that demand low running costs, high efficiency, and an environmentally friendly solution. The flexoTHERM is an indoor or outdoor unit which comes in a variety of outputs to suit every property. Easy Heat Systems are a registered Vaillant Advance Partner, and as such, our customers benefit for a seven year guarantee from Vaillant on their Heat Pump, in addition to a twelve month warranty on parts and labour from Easy Heat Systems.

What is Sound Power?
Sound Power

This is the rate at which sound energy is emitted from a unit. The sound power of all heating products like heat pumps and boilers are displayed on the ErP product label.

Sound Pressure

This is the volume of sound you hear as the sound travels through the air. The further away you move from the sound source, the lower the lower the volume of sound you hear. Sound pressure values are always lower than sound power values. An example of the sound pressure value would be 46dB(A) the (A) shows that is a sound pressure value.

What is Global Warming Potential (GWP)?

GWP is a comparative value that indicates the greenhouse effect of a greenhouse gas, such as a refrigerant, if it were to be released into the environment. The higher the value, the worse the impact on the climate. The aroTHERM plus has a very low impact on the environment, with an outstanding GWP of just three.

Coefficients of Performance (CoP)

CoP is the efficiency ratio of heating output compared to the energy input required to power the unit depending on the air and flow temperatures. The higher the CoP figure, the more efficient the heat pump is. Air source heat pump units usually have a CoP of around 3 – 4, the aroTHERM plus has a CoP up to 5.2, making it highly efficient.

Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCoP)

SCoP is a value that describes the efficiency of the output of the heat pump. It’s derived from analysing the data from a combination of tests taken over the course of a year (to allow for seasonal variation). A SCoP value is used to calculate the running cost of your heat pump; the higher the SCoP value, the more efficient the heat pump and the lower the running costs of your heating system. This figure is required for the UK Government Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) subsidy.

What is the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)?

RHI is the subsidy programme from the UK Government that pays quarterly dividends for seven years if you install, or have already installed, renewable technology to heat your home. All Vaillant heat pumps are MCS accredited and eligible for RHI.

What Grant Funding and Loans are Available?

The Scottish Government is supporting private residents upgrade to renewable energy measures via Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan funding scheme. Homeowners are able to take advantage of this scheme to receive up to £15,000 of support toward the install of Air Source or Ground Source Heat Pumps.

As part of this funding scheme, homeowners will receive a £7,500 contribution toward the heat pump and a £7,500 optional interest-free loan. For rural homeowners, the contribution is increased via the rural uplift to £9,000, with a £7,500 optional interest-free loan.
